A while ago I stumbled accross VBand (see [1]) which is a nice option to train some CW. One input option is using the keyboard which is not the best way. But there is better ways to do that. My option way using a/the CW keyboard by kevintechie (see [2]). This is a simple USB HID device emulating a keyboard with two buttons which are connected to a CW paddle. That make a very nice input option for VBand. I made a small (but larger than kevintechie’s) PCB to mount the QtPy board onto and connect a 6.3mm jack for the paddle input.
With little tweaks the custom PCB fit into a small aluminium case from the junk box. Some lables added and ready to go.
