During a nice CAS-3H / LilacSat-2 pass I worked DL6AP/P and noticted that the audio on the Heil Pro 7’s right earphone was intermittend. So I disassembled the miniXLR connector because the issue was on that end of the cable. Desoldering the green wire I noticed that it was simply broken some 5cm into the cable.

So the cable was shortened by roughly 10cm and resoldered (a replacement would be like some 40€). Disassembly of the cut-off 10cm paart showed that also the black wire was about to break already.

For sake of repairs and future usage I documented the wires and colors. View is from the back of the connector / seen into the jack on the headset part.
